Dear dad, today is Father’s Day. Our 2nd one without you. It’s been an emotional week. Seeing people buy cards, buying presents and seeing all the Father’s Day products in the shops.They are hard to look at. I miss you so, so much. I always looked forward to Father’s Day. Always did a bbq. They were always good fun. Our last Father’s Day was you sitting on a chair in your doorway because of Covid. Damn covid. I had to place your present on the floor and step away. Our last Father’s Day bbq was 2019. It poured down so we put the marquee up on the decking. We got soaked doing it. Then the rain stopped. Typical! Still it was nice and cosy so it was worth getting soaked for! We all had a good day and I have lots of photos and videos. I’ve been looking at the photos and watching the videos. I’m grateful for them because I can look back and smile at seeing you happy. It’s not going to be a happy day today. I can’t wait for it to pass. I love and miss you very much. Shine bright up there.
