Dear Dad, I drove past the route to the hospital today, the day we got the call to come in to the hospital. There was temporary lights so I took a turning to try avoid the temporary lights and traffic. I got lost. Eventually I ended up recognising a crossroads. Then I knew where I was. That’s where I was today. I burst into to tears remembering that day. The day we saw you for the first time since I called the ambulance. You told mum not to cry when she walked towards you. It’s been on my mind all day. That first day, was so upsetting but we were so grateful to be able to visit you. See you, touch you. You were very weak but you perked up. The next day you looked better than the day before. It was such a good feeling to see that you had picked up and felt better. It’s been on my mind all day. That last 6 days....
